Course Summary
Because I love painting flowers in a wide variety of styles, I’ve created this course for open and curious painters who want to explore and grow.
Each week, we’ll work from live flowers or photographs as we experiment with colour mixing, brushwork, glazing, and other essential techniques. You’ll learn fun, simple approaches to loosen up your style and create more expressive, painterly work. Along the way, you’ll discover foundational practices that can quickly elevate your paintings — and uncover the hidden beliefs that may be holding you back.
Each class presents the opportunity for you to take home a completed painting. With a small class size of only 4 students, you can expect individualized attention and valuable feedback as we navigate through the painting process together.

For ten years, I've immersed myself in acrylic painting, finding joy in imperfection and the fusion of diverse artistic styles. Where are the classes held?
The classes are held in my ocean view home studio in Qualicum Beach.
Is there a supply list?
We will be working from a limited palette of Yellow, Red, Blue, White and Black so that you don't need to buy a lot of colours. A list of recommended supplies which are easily available at local art stores will be sent to you upon registration. If you don't wish to invest into painting supplies yet, please contact me and I can arrange the necessary supplies for the duration of the course for an additional fee of $40 (+ GST).
Do you need to know how to draw to take this class?
Absolutely not! In this painting class, drawing skills are not a prerequisite. Painting is its own art form, and the techniques we'll cover don't rely heavily on drawing expertise. Whether you're a beginner or not confident in drawing, the class will guide you through painting techniques that don't necessitate advanced drawing skills. It's about exploring painting as a unique mode of expression, welcoming all skill levels to create beautiful art.
How many students per class?
My classes have a maximum capacity of 6 students, allowing for a cozy and intimate environment.
Do you teach children?
Children 12 and older are welcome as long as they are taking the class with another painter aged 18 or more.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
If you request to cancel the class at least 7 days prior to the start date, you will receive a credit that can be redeemed for a future class within one year from the date of your original class purchase.
